Parts of Panama are quite well set-up for visitors, while its more adventurous regions have real attraction. Panama just beginning to be considered by more adventurous-minded families, and those who try it have some amazing experiences and a really wonderful time.
Planning a family holiday to Panama
In many places there are good options for active kids, as well as wildlife viewing and beach.
Some caveats:
- Panama is in the tropics, so young skin accustomed to northern climes needs extra protection.
- Panama requires the usual vaccinations for any tropical country. Malaria is largely absent, but is reported in some parts (which you can avoid visiting).
- Panama's standards of safety are different from those in the UK and may sometimes not be properly enforced. We cannot protect you from such differences.
- international flights to Panama can be quite long. The total journey time for flights via Europe can be over 16 hours.
