Family holidays to Bolivia
One of Latin America’s least visited countries, Bolivia suits enquiring families in search of adventure in a sublime country that few others have visited.
Bolivia offers rich indigenous culture, truly out-of-this-world landscapes and unique wildlife and biodiversity. For an extended visit we recommend the Unesco city of Sucre and the temperate valley city of Cochabamba.
It is important that your holiday suits everyone in the family. You are an expert on them and we are the experts on our destinations. Together we can design a holiday that best matches what your family enjoys. Speak to our expert Bibiana Tellez-Garside, who was brought up in La Paz and knows her country from end to end.
Planning a family holiday to Bolivia
- Travel during the UK summer holidays equates to the Bolivian winter. You will have many blue-sky sunny days, but evenings will be cold.
- Bolivia offers hotels for most budgets in large cities, but in the isolated regions of Uyuni and the Bolivian desert accommodation will be modest. In these destinations we select hotels where we know you will have a private bathroom, warm and clean rooms and hot showers.
- Travel times to visit certain sites can be very long on rugged and unpaved roads.
- Low to no risk of malaria means antimalarials are not usually advised.
