El Ombu de Areco, La Pampa
San Antonio de Areco
Average rating 5.0 (1 ratings)
Estancia El Ombú de Areco takes its name from the giant ombú tree that presides over its grounds and to which its gauchos have hitched their horses for more than a hundred years. The property is the perfect place to enjoy a typical Argentine asado (BBQ) and is comprised of a late colonial style main house set in pretty gardens amidst a working ranch in the heart of the pampas in San Antonio de Areco, just over an hour’s drive from Buenos Aires. Guests can see the ranch at work (mainly dedicated to raising Hereford and Aberdeen Angus stock), along with various other activities such as horse riding, bird watching or biking are all on offer whilst there is also simply the option to relax with a stroll along the meandering nearby Areco river or around the pool. There are 6 twin/double and 3 triple rooms, each individually decorated with period furniture and all with en-suite facilities.
Features include:
•sitting room and gallery in which it is possible to enjoy satellite TV, billiards, ping-pong or table football;
•swimming pool with solarium;
•volleyball and football
Additional information (optional):
•Golf and tennis (optional) at a country club 15 minutes drive from the Estancia.
•Visit to San Antonio de Areco village with its famous Ricardo Guiraldes Gaucho Museum as well as numerous workshops that keep the gaucho traditions alive.

Anselmo Hotel
San Telmo
Average rating 4.3 (3 ratings)
Anselmo Buenos Aires is a fine hotel in a quiet corner of the very atmospheric Plaza Dorrego in the heart of San Telmo in central Buenos Aires. It is close to the cafés, restaurants and antique shops for which this part of the city is known, and within a few steps of bustling cafes that spill out on to the plaza. The hotel is part of the Hilton's Curio collection and has a boutique feel, with cool contemporary decor. Rooms are very comfortable, reasonably spacious, and equipped with wifi, tv, minibar, coffee maker, etc. The hotel has a café and a restaurant for a quiet dinner, with the option of eating alfresco in the hotel's small central patio garden.

Fauna
Cerro Alegre
Hotel Fauna is perched on the edge of the western section of Cerro Alegre served by the Reina Victoria funicular and only 5 minutes away from the city centre. The hotel is decorated in a quirky, funky style in keeping with the street art and bohemian feel to Valparaíso. The hotel has impressive views over town, Valparaíso’s iconic hills and the bay. All rooms are nice and well equipped but the views in the Superior and Suite room categories make them worth the upgrade. The best views are from the top floor restaurant, bar and terrace.
