Araras Lodge is situated 132km from Cuiaba and 32km from Pocone in the northern Pantanal.
The lodge is designed in a rustic regional architecture, with a total of 19 guest rooms, all with split air conditioning and ceiling fan, netted windows, private bathrooms with hot and cold water, large porches with armchairs and hammocks.
There are three on-site observation towers (11m, 13m and 25m in height), a swimming pool, bar and restaurant following a 'farm to table' concept, souvenir shop and reading/conference room.
Packages include full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea), shared daily activities with resident naturalist bilingual guides such as birding and nature walks through the lodge grounds and extensive trails, horse-riding, photo safaris by day and night, canoeing. Specialist full day "Jaguar Express" expeditions by boat along the Cuiaba river in search of jaguar can be arranged in advance at additional cost.
