Day 1
Ole Caribe
Macuto
Average rating 4.1 (23 ratings)
Due to its convenience for Caracas airport, the coastal town of Macuto is the ideal place to stay for a positioning night. All the hotels here are rather characterless. Ole Caribe is the best of the 4* options, but nothing special. All the rooms have: Satellite TV, a/c, mini-bar, hair-dryer, security box and the hotel has a swimming pool.

Days 2 - 3
Granja el Ojito
beach, 40km from Coro
A sensible choice for a beach front stay on the coast of Falcon State. Situated 24 miles east of the historic town of Coro. This mid-range posada has a lovely setting amid an old coconut plantation. It is a 3 minute stroll through the tall palm trees to reach the sands.
There are 12 clean, simple bedrooms all with private bathroom, central air conditioning, TV and telephone with a private terrace area facing the palms and the sea. There is an open-air restaurant, bar, swimming pool and tennis court. Free Wifi. We recommend guests stay on a half-board basis.
The owners offer a number of interesting excursions at extra cost so that you can explore the local area inc. Coro, the Paraguana Peninsula, the Sierra de San Luis, Sand dunes and Taima-Taima.

Posada Las Garcia
Choroni
Average rating 5.0 (5 ratings)
Posada Casa de las Garcia is a restored colonial house, and was originally part of a cocoa-producing hacienda. It has a lovely flower-filled courtyard garden and a swimming pool. The 15 rooms have private bathrooms, ceiling fans and a/c and antique furnishings.
The posada has a tranquil, country setting between the seafront village of Puerto Colombia & Choroni. It is a 15 minute walk to the village of Puerto Colombia where there are bars and restaurants and from where fishermen offer boat transfers to beaches which can only be accessed from the sea. Or you can walk via the village to the broad local beach. Candle lit dinners can be served in the garden (pre-book locally).
