The Pampas
Representing vast amounts of land in Argentina are the traditional rural Pampas, areas synonymous with the Gaucho culture of the country.
The Pampas cover huge swathes of Argentina from Buenos Aires province almost down as far as northern Patagonia, and these fertile grasslands are synonymous with the gaucho culture and rural traditions of the country. These days some of the working ranches in the Pampas have openend their gates to tourists, offering accommodation or day trips for a flavour of the cowboy lifestyle with asado meat feasts and horse displays laid on for entertainment.
